Sara A. "Nanny" Jobes (Gore)
Sara A. “Nanny” Jobes, 78, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 20, 1938, in Connellsville, PA, a daughter of the late Earl Eugene Gore and Helen (Martin) Gore Glass.
In addition to her parents, Nanny was preceded in death by her husband Ed Jobes, in 2009.
She was a member of the Uniontown Free Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Ed Jobes and his wife Karen, of Bethelboro, PA, Jim Jobes and his wife Karen of Smithfield, PA, Carol Risha and her husband George of Uniontown, PA, Ginger Zack and her husband Bill, of Uniontown, PA, Susan Luckey of Uniontown, PA, Bob Jobes and his wife Julie of Smithfield, PA, and Michael Jobes and Joann Patterson; her 19 grandchildren; and her 26 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Faye Linton and her husband John of Huntsville, TX, Dana Fetsko and her husband Joe of Bryan, TX, Mirl “Sonny” Gore and his wife Lorraine of Mt. Braddock, PA, and George Glass and his wife Cindy of Strongsville, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Tuesday, August 8, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, August 9, until 11 a.m. the Hour of Service with her son, Pastor Jim Jobes Officiating.
Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Mausoleum.
