Stephanie Haky Georgiana, Manager

In 1980, Stephanie became a fourth-generation funeral director when she joined her father, Steve Haky, Jr., in the family business. She has supervised the Masontown location since 1986, but serves both funeral homes as funeral director, embalmer and insurance agent. She is a proud wife and mother, a longtime resident of Uniontown, and is a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church.

Geoff Richter, Funeral Director & Embalmer

Geoff is a graduate of Connellsville Area High School and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. The longtime Connellsville resident first joined our staff as a funeral assistant in July 2011. He began his internship in 2013, and then earned his funeral director’s license in June 2014.

Penny Jill Hall, Funeral Home Administrator

Penny, who joined the staff in May 1993, handles the administration duties for both funeral homes and uses her years of knowledge to help families obtain survivor benefits. A Uniontown native, she graduated from Uniontown Senior High School. She now lives in Masontown and is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoys walking, swimming, dancing and spending time with her family.

Irene A. Bendik, Administrative Assistant

Irene joined the staff in September 2014, and feels honored to work at Haky because of the great care they provided when her husband passed away in 2009. After graduating from Connellsville Area High School, she worked as a secretary and office manager in the New England area before moving to Uniontown in 1982. She served as the executive director for Albert Gallatin Planning & Development Corp. before retiring in 2004. Irene enjoys yardwork and gardening, daily walks and golf cart rides in the neighborhood with Cricket, her German Schnauzer, and spending time with family and friends.

Reginald Brown, Family Service Consultant

Reginald has many years of experience in the insurance industry, and focuses now in two special areas: pre-need funeral expenses and final expense life insurance. Passionate about his community charitable efforts, he and his wife, Cherrie, have assisted grieving families at the Highmark Caring Place since 2001. He also serves as a board member for Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital and Facility.

Joseph M. Soom, Jr., Head of Maintenance / Funeral Assistant

Joesph's skills have been put to good use at the funeral home since he joined the staff in 1997. His work includes landscaping, electrical and plumbing, but he also trains doves for remembrance services. He is a lifelong resident of Uniontown and a member of Bible Baptist Church. He is married and has a daughter, Jodi, and a son, Joe III, and two dogs, Peanut and Roxy. He enjoys gardening, raising animals, bird watching and billiards.

Tammy Brady, Funeral Assistant / Maintenance Assistant

Tammy started at Haky Funeral Home in June 2010. She was born in Uniontown and now resides in Leckrone, the city she grew up in. She is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, pal Club, Italian Club, and American Legion. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two pets, Buddy and Tiger.

Marie "Marcy" Renocks, Greeter

Marcy has been assisting with services at Haky since February 2002. She is a longtime resident of Masontown and a member of the VFW, American Legion, Italian Club and Pals Auxiliary. She studied accounting at Penn State and computers at Laurel Business Institute. She retired from the banking industry after 34 years and also previously served as a manager with Pioneer Electric.

Tina Miller, Greeter

Tina joined the Haky staff in 2013. Born in Uniontown, she grew up in Masontown and still resides there today. She enjoys meeting people, vacationing and spending time with family.

Remembering Stephen Haky Jr.

Steve was a third-generation funeral director. He enjoyed serve the people of the Uniontown and Fayette County area during his more than 50-year career.  After graduating from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1960, he joined the family business Haky Funeral Homes, which he owned and operated until 1996. He remained as consultant and supervisor for the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. at Sylvan Heights Cemetery for the past 20 years.
